In summer we all know we should avoid dehydration and protect ourselves from sun damage to skin.
I. If you don’t want to experience heat exhaustion, avoid dehydration effects such as muscle weakness by drinking fluids rich in potassium, magnesium and calcium. Make the delicious summer smoothie and dehydration drink below to help you restore these vitamins and electrolytes that you need for proper fluid absorption. Don’t forget that coffee and teas, including herbal teas, are diuretic and can lower your blood pressure and, more important, cause your body to excrete and lose water. So, if you can’t make our summer smoothie then drink plain water instead.
Apricot and Strawberry Smoothie and Dehydration Drink for Summer
- 3 apricots (better organic)
- 5 strawberries (better organic)
- 1 cup fresh made carrot (or orange) juice
- 1 tbs flax seed meal
Blend all ingredients and drink immediately.
II. Watermelon and Greek Yogurt Smoothie and Beauty Remedy
- 2 cups sliced into cubes watermelon, seeded
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp Greek plain yogurt
- honey if needed
Blend all the ingredients and drink to your health.
P.S. Add 1/2 tsp raw cacao or orange zest to use these recipes as an instant mood booster.
