The Holidays are here, and it is the right time to look for healthy and delicious recipes for your holiday dinner or to use as healthy holiday snacks.

It’s also Cold and Flu season and dark outside; so you may need extra energy to fight seasonal depression or deal with moodiness and negative thoughts.

Healthy Holiday Apple Raisin Cake Recipe

Ingredients:Holiday Apple Raisin Cake Recipe

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp white sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins


  • In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, applesauce, cinnamon, sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla, and raisins. Form small cakes out of the batter.
  • Heat a nonstick griddle over medium heat, fry the cakes until both sides are browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
